Camagüey, April 18. - The Territorial Marketing Base Business Unit of the Ministry of Industry (Encomil, for its acronym in Spanish), reaches its first twelve years of operation with notable progress in its economic income, and superior comprehensive management in the provinces of Camagüey and Ciego de Ávila.
The institution has among its many tasks the assurance of toiletries in the standard family basket, and those allocated to other prioritized social sectors, as well as the provision of warehouse services and transportation of its own or third-party merchandise.
With only 32 workers, the establishment had planned to sell 88 million pesos in 2024, but its real amounted to 110 million, to confirm itself as one of the centers with the best economic balance within the sector in the country.
Maidé López García, director of the Base Business Unit (UEB), stated that, at the end of the first quarter of 2025, they exceeded what was planned for that stage by 39 percent, "because our purpose, she said, is to maintain a sequence that allows us to end December with the plan, at least, fulfilled."
She stated that they have a virtual store that has a varied range of toiletries, mattresses, furniture, marquetry, among others, and with the additional facility of guaranteeing home delivery service for those who require this service.
In addition to being wholesale suppliers, they have a store for carrying out retail trade, which has all the facilities for purchases through payment gateways, by having EnZona and Transfermóvil, although the client can also choose to pay in cash.
